I have never had braces but my teeth are perfectly allgned and straight

Q. Hi Dr Patel, I have never had braces but my teeth are perfectly aligned and straight. Over the past few yrs I have noticed that they have slowly started moving outwards..I found this starnge since I don’t sleep with my mouth..I have been told that this happens as you age but was wondering if there is anything I can do to stop this?Does applying slight pressure every morning help? Thanks

A. If your teeth are starting to move it can often be a sign that you may be suffering with periodontal disease which means the bone surrounding the teeth id reducing.  I would recommend seeing your dentist and having them assessed.
