I have just had my root canal treatment, its still sore to eat on, is this normal?

Q.
i have had my root canal treatment completed today, i had the root taken outbefore xmas and had a temperary filling until today, but now it still is sore to eat on, is this right? i do get sensitive teeth
A.
The tooth will be tender for at least 3-4 days before it settles down after root canal treatment
