I have just been through the process of volunteering

Q.
I have just been through the process of volunteering at leeds dental institute and was promised after all my appointments i was gauranteed to have my teeth straightened for free.

I never got chance to get a brace when i was younger and i am now 20.

Today at my orthodontics appointment i have been told my teeth are not bad enough for treatment at the institute, so i have returned to look for private care.

My teeth are moderately-severe crowded top and bottom, and i have a overjet of about 6mm. my top centre line is correct but my bottom is 1mm to the left.

What would you suggest would be the best brace for me?
I would preferably prefer something relatively cheap and maybe something less discreet that traditional braces if possible

A.
I sounds as though fixed orthodontic option would be most suitable as you have a large overjet and moderate-severe crowding.
Fees can vary from the type of orthodontic apliance you wish to have.
There is an appliance on the market called the 6 month smiles. It is clear ceramic braces with tooth coloured wire for discreetness and the estimated trt time is considerably lower than conventional braces.
The cost varies but expect to pay around £3000-£5000
Hope this has helped

I have a question: I really can’t afford to get my teeth straighten out, and want to ask is there a way that I could possibly be part of a study that would myself as well as the doctors as far as research goes.

I was never able to get my teeth fix, and now I am 45 years old, and I would like to smile again. I live in Florida, and wish so much to smile again.

Thank You!
