I have had two conflicting diagnoses, one saying I have gum disease and one saying I do not. If I do is LANAP available in the UK?

Q.
Recently when to see two dentists a private and a nhs. Private dentist said i was prone to aggressive juvenile peridontis and the other nhs one said I wasnt. I have pockets in my teeth of 1-2mm. This has knocked my confidence and I will feel scared of visiting a dentist. I have been researching abt LANAP. Is this available in the UK. Do you think this would be viable?
A.
LANAP is the acronym for Laser Assisted New Attachment Procedure, developed by Drs. Gregg II and McCarthy during the 1990’s in Cerritos, California, specifically for treating patients with periodontal disease. The laser treats gingivitis and periodontitis, but as far as I know, there is no dentist in the UK that is providing this treatment.
You have got two different conflicting opinions about your gum health. Pockets of 1-2 mm do not signify a gum problem and do not require any treatment if you have no symptoms of gum disease. Symptoms of active gum disease like gingivitis are bad breath, bleedng gums, presence of tartar around the teeth.
Please get clarification of the status of your gums and seek treatment as necessary, if needed.
