Q. I have had braces before but my teeth have fallen back into original position and I’m considering getting 6 Month braces,My dentist said I have acid erosion not serious though,Will it be OK to get braces if I have already had them and have acid erosion? Thank you
A. in theory there is nothing to stop you having braces, but a high acid diet will undermine tooth structure and appliances in the mouth will give potential for more damage at a quicker rate if you do not address the underlying cause of this.
once your treatment has finished it is important to have a decent retainer which you must wear as advised or your teeth will relapse again.
