I have gum disease and my front tooth has been removed because it was loose

Q. Hi, I have gum disease which is currently been treated, however one of my front teeth have to be extracted due to becoming loose , I have been advised to choose either a Maryland bridge or a denture as a temporary measure as I would like to go for an Implant. Please can you advise how long I would have to wait before I could o for an implant? also i read on the net about Strauman SLActive implants which reduce the overall healing time from 6mths to 1mth? is this true or just a gimmick. I would be grateful for your advice. Thank you

A. Implants can be done
1. immediately after extraction in circumstances
2. or wait 2 months for bone healing and then can place the implant.

Regarding placing a crown after one month, is something i would not consider. I personally like to let the implant heal for 3 months before placing a crown.

In some circumstances I place a crown immediately on the implant, but this is rare.

I hope this helps

Hello
I have a top front tooth which is very loose due to gum disease. I have been to my dentist this morning who advises me to have it out. The option is a denture, then a bridge after 6 months, is there any other alternative to a denture? I am so upset with loosing this front tooth and dreading having a denture.
