I have gaps in my teeth and anticipate having veneers

Q. I have gaps in my teeth, and anticipate having veneers to help rebuild my smile so that it is more uniform. However i grind my teeth, and was wondering whether i would still be able to have veneers, if not what suitable alternative could i have to accomodate my ‘griniding’ but solve the gap situation? Would it be possible for me to maintain my veneers with a night guard? Regards

A.

When your new teeth are planned I would ensure your bite is much better than it is now sometimes this reduces the grinding naturally.  A night guard is advisable to prevent your new teeth from breaking.  But getting your new teeth to be the correct shape and bite for your jaw are key to having a successful new smile.
