I have dentures for my top teeth held with fixadent

Q. Dr Suri, i have dentures for the top part of my teeth, with clips on to two back teeth either side of my mouth this been metal, i have to use a fixadent all the time for is so loose could you please advise me on the best treatment I can receive on this matter many thanks

A. it is possible to have a new denture made that is better fitting and may look better than the ones that you have. There are flexible types of acrylic available and attachments that can be used in conjunction with dentures that help to stabilise them so that they don’t move around.

Other treatment options could be a full mouth bridge if your remaining teeth are strong enough, failing this you may be eligible for dental implants if there is enough bone and you are in good health. The best thing to do is go and see a private dentist who is used to carrying a wide range of restorative procedures. This way you will be armed with the knowledge of the different treatments and can make the decision that best suits you.

I hope this helps
