I have decay in the crowned tooth which anchors my bridge
Q. I have just been told that I have decay in the crowned tooth which anchors my bridge The other anchor is a crown also. The bridge was to fill a gap of one missing tooth. The bridge was only fitted 18 months ago. My dentist has advised that I leave the bridge and wait for it to loosen or until it gives me pain. She said my option would be a denture or implant eventually. I’m really concerned about just letting the tooth rot away. Can you advise if this is the right procedure
A.
Hard to tell exactly without seeing the tooth but in general I would not leave a tooth to decay. If you would like a free consultation with a dentist at our Birmingham Practice to discuss your options please contact us via our website or by phone 0121 643 0610
