I have been told I am going to need a dental plate, but what is it and what does the procedure involve?

Q. I’ve been told by my dentist that when they take my tooth out at the front that they will have to fit a dental plate, what does this involve and is there other options which last longer,
A. A plate is a denture. There are other options available to you such as a bridge, a bridge fits onto the teeth either side this does require some tooth destruction. Your other option is a dental Implant. The best long term option is a dental Implant. Thank you for your enquiry.
