I have been quoted of £730 for Chameleon Porcelain Jacket crown

Q. I have a quote of £730 for Chameleon Porcelain Jacket Crown for LR6. Part broke off at the gum which was patched up but there is another fracture down middle so needs crown. Obviously I want to reduce price and metal one on NHS is an alternative since lower molar not a big aesthetic issue. However are there other alternatives to chameleon PJC for this tooth which are functionally as good but cheaper?

A. You will find that every dentist will charge different prices depending on the quality of the Ceramsit used to create the crown. If you are not concerned with the aesthetic side of things then a Gold crown will certainly be a strong, long lasting solution for you and will be as functional as the Porcelain Jacket Crown that you have been quoted for.
If you would prefer something that blends in with your existing teeth more subtly then £730 is quite a competitve quote.
