Q. I have been having troble with my tooth for some time and mu NHS dentist has advised a crown. Could you please advise me how much a crown with a titanium peg would cost(well the range of charges) ? The tooth is, well not the front two but the second one back on my right hand side. Also how do I find a dentist to undertake the work ? we live in Carlisle. Many thanks
A. IF you mean to take the tooth root out and replace with an implant its abut £2000- 2500 from start to finish. If the existing root is still solid a post and crown is around £500-800. Both private fees . If you live in Carlisle, University towns like Newcastle have plenty of implantologists the Association on dental implantology (www.adi.org.uk) will carry members details
