I have an overbite can i have braces

Q. Hi I’m 27 years old, i have an over bite and my front two teeth stick out about 1.5 cms. I did have a brace as a teenager that i had to wear at night to pull my jaw forward. I didn’t stick with this as both my upper and lower molars are in alingnment. My front teeth have a very slight gap between them but there is a large gap between them and the teeth on either side. I feel that my teeth are getting worse as i get older,The front teeth rest on my bottom lip, if i pull them back it looks like i’m pouting. I dont want veneers, can they be fixed!!!

A. hi many thanks for your enquiry. the simple answer to your question is yes. it will require orthodontics and it may also require jaw surgery but it purely depends on how much you want it. i would recommend you seek out a cosmetic orthodontic practice and go for a consultation. hope this is helpful.
