I have an overbite and protruding lower teeth
Q. I have an overbite and so I also have protruding and raised (middle 3 only) lower teeth and wish to have these levelled. I already have the central lower middle tooth crowned due to an accident. Is it possible to have these 3 teeth cosmeticaaly leveled by crowning? thanks
A.
Within certain limits, crowning or veneering may align teeth. The pattern described is often due to passive eruption caused by the overbite / unstable contacts. It is worth reviewing your occlusion before any cosmetic treatment. A redesigned contact between lower & upper teeth may help to keep the new tooth position in future.
