I have a unsightly smile missing teeth broken teeth and want to smile again

Q. I have the most unsightly smile ever, i am 35 years old and have had this problem for a few years. I could not tell you when i was last able to smile as I really don\’t remember. i have 9 missing teeth and 4 broken teeth, all the broken teeth are at the front of my mouth (my smile teeth) and it is so embarrassing. The worst thing is i have always brushed my teeth, i don\’t eat sweets, i don\’t drink fizzy drinks, yet my teeth look like this. I am far to afraid of dentists to even go there, this i have tried on many occasions but every time i get to the dentists chair i make my excuses and leave. I would love to be able to smile again, but i know that i would not be able to afford it in this lifetime, how could i ever be able to smile again??

A. first of all, if you are nervous about dental treatment I would suggest you found a sympathetic dentist who is experienced treating anxious patients.
There are ways to improve a smile where there are missing teeth and these are:
- dentures (removable plates)
- bridges
-implants

Many practices, like ours, offer finance plan where patients can spread the costs and pay a monthly fee.
