I have a twisted front tooth, would a brace correct it?

Q.
Hi, my left tooth ( next to my front left tooth) is turned a full 180 degrees. My dentist says its a big job to re correct, saying he would’nt be able to crown it, therefore having to take the nerve out and going from there. I spoke to an orthodonist about it, and he said a brace would’nt improve it because of how much its turned. What would you suggest?

Thankyou.

A.
I think orthodontics (ie brace) would do align the tooth from what you have said. This trt may take a long time, but would be the most conservative and less destructive trt that you can do.
There are appliances on the market that concentrate on your front 4 teeth- such as an inman aligner, but without seeing you in person, I cannot assess if this is the best option.
It may be quite ricky to place a bracket on the tooth to twist it, but perhaps expanding your arch initially would create enough room for the tooth to be twisted into position.
I offer free consultations at myissdental clinic if you would like to discuss this matter further- or alternatively, you can get a 2nd opinion from another dentist.
Hope this has helped.
