I have a small chip on my tooth and it is very sensitive
Q. Hiya, I have just noticed a small chip in the front of my left tooth. It is only really small but it is a little sensitive. I have heard about Bonding and would really appreciate it if you could tell me the positives and negatives to bonding- also will my dentist do this for me? or will i have to go to a cosmetic dentistry?- i would really appreciate your help. Hope to hear back from you soon
A. Bonding refers to many dental procedures that involve tooth coloured resins as fillings or glues for ceramic restorations ( veneers, crowns, inlays ) Most dentists do some bonding. Cosmetic dentists will generally use higher grade materials with more attention to the final appearance.. A small chip will often be easily and aesthetically repaired by a tooth coloured filling without drilling your own tooth.
A filling is not very expensive, we would be happy to help if you should wish.
