I have a severe overbite where my top teeth are rubbing the base of my gums when nocturnal grinding occurs.
Q. I have a severe overbite where my top teeth are rubbing the base of my gums when nocturnal grinding occurs.This has exposed my roots on the bottom teeth. I also have occasional tmj ear pain. Will invisaline (sp?) braces work for me? My teeth are also transparent and I was considering lumineers only after my bite is corrected of course.
A. Hi; Invisalign might work for a deep overbite depending on the severity, however you might need a fixed brace with bite opening in more severe cases.
I would consult an Orthodontist for a 2nd opinion 1st. Lumineers would be a good way of finishing off the final cosmetic result
