I Have A Missing Central Incisor. What Would Be The Best Type Of Bridge For This Situation?

Q.
Hello Andrew, I need your advice. I have had a missing central incisor for around a year and I am currently wearing a denture at the moment. What is the best material for a bridge in this situation? Strength wise and aesthetically? I have been advised to try a Zirconia bridge. Could you tell me the material this is made from and how long is it likely to last and is it the best? My teeth and gums are healthy otherwise. Would bleaching affect already existing tooth coloured fillings or damage them? Thank you for your time.
A.
Hi, thank you for getting in touch. Zirconium bridges are all ceramic without any metal and show excellent aesthetics, if you need more strength metal ceramic will be a good option too. Find an experienced dentist who can tell you the pro’s and con’s of each bridge material type. This website has information on the various bridge treatments available if you’d like more information. I hope this helps. Best wishes, Dr Andrew Moore.
