I have a metal post and want straight teeth will braces work

Q. I have a metal post and crown on one of my front teeth, my 2 front teeth are slightly pertruding and the teeth behind them are slightly behind the front teeth. My dentist says a brace will not work due to the metal post. I would love straight teeth? An advice?

A. it would be best to take the advice of a good orthodontist. I’m not sure if braces would work on your crowned teeth but a specialist in brace treatment would be ble to tell you for sure.

You may be able to have a combination of brace treatment and restorative work. The braces could straighten out the lateral teeth and you could have new crowns placed on the two front teeth to give you a straight smile.
Hope this helps
Kind Regards
