I Have A Gap Between My Front Teeth And Wonder If The NHS Would Help Fix This For Me?

Q.
I have had a gap in between my teeth since childhood. This gap has expanded over the years and has become significantly noticeable. I would like to know the different options available to me and how I can go about it? The gap is in my front teeth and it’s rather embarrassing and is affecting my self esteem. I have done a little research, but the prices are relatively high, I was wondering if the NHS would consider such treatments free. Please give me relevant information and procedures on how to embark on this journey. Thank you and I hope you can help me.

Hi. I think you have two options, first having braces which would be the best option and the second would be Porcelain veneers which is a quick option. Unfortunately NHS won’t cover it as it is considered a cosmetic procedure. The cost for veneers would be £500-£600 each and braces are relatively more expensive.
Good luck, I hope this information helps you, Dr Hussein Shaffie.
