I Have A False Tooth With A Screw Which Has Fallen Out. Is There Any Type Of Dental Glue I Can Use To Keep It In Place?
Q.
Hello Dr Hughes. I have a false tooth with a screw that just came out, but I pushed it back in myself. Is there any form of dental glue I can use to ensure it doesn’t come out again? I don’t want to go to a dentist. I need a solution so I can do it myself. I am retired and no longer have dental insurance. My tooth is in the front of my mouth and would be very embarrassing if it came out. I would not be able to smile or feel comfortable. Thank you for your time.

Hello and thank you for getting in touch. It would be safest for you to see a professional. I would need to see you in person to understand exactly what’s happened and the extent of the problem. You should seek out expert professional advice for best results. If you leave this it could get worse and cost you more in the long run. You could ring around the various practices in your area and get a quote. You could also pay in instalments at some practice to ease the burden of dental costs. I hope this helps. Kind regards, Dr Mark Hughes.
