I Have A False Front Tooth And I Would Like Alternative Options As It’s Coming Loose.

Q.
Hi Mark. I had one of my front teeth taken out about six years ago due to a gum infection and I now wear a false tooth. I was told at the time that this was my only option as there was insufficient bone to support an implant. I am now wondering if this is still my only option as I am very self conscious. I am 53 and in good health. I regularly attend my dentist and look after my teeth also. My false tooth is one of my front teeth and is also coming a little loose now. Thank you, I hope to hear from you soon.

Hello and thank you for contacting me. Can you come in for an examination, X-rays and a CT scan, please? It’s quite possible that there are lots of other options available to you, including different types of bridges and an implant retained solution; for the latter we need to assess if you have enough bone or if it’s possible to graft bone. I would need to see you in person to fully assess your best options however.  Kind regards, Mark.
