I have a crooked smile and missing teeth can I get NHS treatment

Q. Im interested in cosmetic treatment. I hate my teeth, i have a crooked smile. I have had braces but its my jaw that is uneven and im missing some teeth which makes my smile look strange. Is there any treatment i can get on the NHS? As i am a single parent currently studying and on income support.

A. I am afraid cosmetic dentistry is only available on a private basis and would be something you have to pay for. Some patients who come to see me who are on a limited budget apply for finance to help cover there costs. Our practice and many others provide 0% interest loans up to 2 years and low interest loans over longer periods. Some dentists who are starting out in cosmetic dentistry may offer you treatment at a lower price or even free if you attend courses with them so they can learn.

I hope this helps you
