I have a chipped crown, should i replace it or get an implant?
Q.
5 years ago I had two upper crowns (Empress 2). My orginal teeth were lost as a child and prior to these had metal backed crowns. 3 Years ago one of the tooths had root canal. That same crown is now chipped and needs replacement. Question is whether its viable to replace the crown, if that’s indeed possible, or a complete implant ?

A.
You can have the crown replaced so long as there is no damage to the root, it will involve your dentist drilling the crown of followed by impressions to get the new crown made.
