I have a broken back tooth

Q. I have a broken back tooth with one whole section of tooth (which looks like a fang) having broken off. What types of crown would be suitable for this scenario and at what cost.

A. I would guess that the tooth will need rebuilding prior to crowning. You could use porcelain bonded to metal or an all porcelain crown approximate costs are £450-600

One of my back teeth had some of the tooth break off, back and side, so my dentist filled it. Everything was ok but a few days later I felt like my front teeth were moving, I rang him and went back. He said because of the filling at the back I was getting used to a new bite, but he filed it down some more and said that it would just take a while to get used to it and the front teeth once they were in a position would settle down and would not click together as much or wobble (they are a little) but I think it is worse cos you can feel it. Was just wondering how long it would take to settle the teeth into a position, he redone this tooth last week and the front teeth are still clicking and slightly moving and it is doing my head in a little. I know it takes time but can anyone say roughly how long!!!

I recently had an amalgam filling placed in an upper third molar, however the filling fell out and part of the tooth came away. I put off going to the dentist as I knew I’d need an extraction (not the biggest fan of visits to the dentist). Evenutally I began to experience severe pain, fever, and swollen lymph glands…I went back to my dentist and was given antibiotics and advised to return for an extraction when the infection had cleared (roughly two weeks). However, I will be going to stay in the U.S for one month very soon. I’ve had dental work in the U.S before which was very expensive, so I’m not keen to visit a dentist in the U.S…but I’m worried that if I don’t have the tooth extracted, it will become re-infected. Can you please advise me on whether it will be okay to wait a month before extraction, or if I need to have it done sooner? Thankyou

My daughter is 18 and our dentist said her top teeth are so bad we need to have them all pulled. They are started to really bother her and say infected. So is it ok for her to have them pulled at her age.We went to a oral sur.and it would do them because of her age.He said it would cause her more trouble later with her jaw bones. So please help we dont have a lot of moneyto put into her mouth. She has always had bad teeth since they came in.

Do go and see a dentist to see whether they are able to restore her teeth as she is very young. Regards,
