I had veneers for long but now i have black gums what can i do?
Q. Hi DR.Chaplan, I had veneers done on my teeth over 15 years ago, now the black is showing around the gum line. I am missing both side teeth. Can I have Lumineers or porcelain veneers done, since the orginal procedure my teeth was filed down. What is LAVA Upgrade how is this different. What procedure do you recommend I use.
A. The old veneers need to be completely removes and new veneers placed. Lumineers are not an option as the teeth have already been shaped 15 years ago. This is a common procedure in my practice – you will be amazed at the improvements that have taken place to the look of current porcelain venees.
