I Had Two Pregnancies Back To Back Which Really Did A Number On My Teeth. Will I Ever Be Able To Get A Beautiful Smile Again?

Q.
Hello doctor. I had two pregnancies back to back that really did a number on my teeth. I ended up with periodontal disease and I am now paying the price for not paying close attention to it. I have a couple of teeth that are loose and some that I think are going to need root canals, fillings, etc. Can a mouth full of horrible teeth like mine ever be beautiful again? My biggest fear is ending up with dentures or toothless. I look forward to your advice. Thank you.

Hello and thank you for getting in touch. Yes, it is possible but it sounds like you’ll need extensive treatment perhaps involving veneers, crowns bridges and/or dental implants. Use this website for information on the various treatments on offer and then search the internet for local practices. A consultation with an experienced cosmetic dentist should tell you what treatment you may need. Most clinics offer some kind of payment plan to spread the costs. I hope this helps. Dr Andrew Moore.
