Q. Hi Dr Solanki, I had two dental implants put in a couple of years ago, but as yet have not had the crowns fitted, as I moved to the UK, away from the dentist who was doing the work for me. I really want to get the work completed and also have a few other things that need to be done. What are the next steps for me? And does it matter that I will be going to a completely different dentist? Thanks, in advance, for your advice.
A. Any restorative dentist with implant knowledge/background would be able to restore the implants for you. I would advise, however that you find out the information from your previous dentist regarding the implants. This should include: the implant system used, size of implant and any other necessary information such as bone graft sites etc. Take this info with you to a cosmetic dentist/implantologist and see what they can do. I would be more than happy to see you at my kissdental practice if you wish.
