I had some extensive dental work about 2 weeks ago and I am still in pain

Q. I had some extensive dental work about 2 weeks ago 16 porcelain crowns infused to metal and 12 veneers at the front top and bottom. I am still having pain mainly the bottom back teeth as the tops are fine is this normal? or should I go see a dentist,i,m taking paracetomol everyday now, just wondered how long these take to settle down,or if i had an infection? hope you can give me some advice miss

A. Dear,

I  recommend you book in to see the dentist that did this work for you. It may be something very simple such as a bite adjustment. If a tooth is even a fraction too high it can feel very uncomfortable. This can be corrected very easily.

Having Veneers myself, I can tell you it is normal to have some sensivity for a few weeks after the procedure, the same as if you were to have surgery on any part of your body you need a settling period.

However i would definately book in with your dentist to rule out any other contributing factors.

Kind regards
