I had porcelain veneers fitted (on the NHS) when I

Q. Hi, I had porcelain veneers fitted (on the NHS) when I was 15 to my two front teeth due to poorly-formed enamel. These only lasted two days before they chipped and I’m now 23 and it is getting incredibly expensive to have them ‘patched up’ with filling material every month or so. I can’t afford to have the veneers replaced and the teeth are perfectly healthy other than the enamel- is there any treatment I could have that would not involve having something ’stuck’ on to my teeth? Many thanks for your time, Helen Aldred-Jones

A. Unfortunatley no- your only options are white fillings, veneers or crowns.  You may well have a bite issue which may be the cause of your veneers chipping
