I Had My Braces Removed After 2 Years And Nothing Has Changed, What Should I Do Now?

Q.
Hi Doctor Hughes, I wondered if you could advise me on something? I just had braces to hide the fact that my jaw was slightly to the right and I had an over bite. I had them on for 2 years and I just had them taken off and to be totally honest I am really not happy with the end result, you can still clearly see my teeth are not in line. It looks as if only one of my teeth meet at the front which is even more irritating than before. I’d like to know if I could still get the surgery even after having braces to try and hide it? I don’t know what else to do, I feel so disappointed. I haven’t been given a retainer or anything. I just don’t understand. Thank you for any help in advance, any other suggestions are welcome.

Hello and thank you for your question. Yes you could but it would likely mean more time in braces. I’d advise you see a specialist orthodontist who does a lot of surgical cases for advice. I hope this helps, regards.
