Q. I had an implant done in Nov.21 of last year and was told it would take a few weeks for healing and they would put my tooth on. They put a temporary tooth on and it broke two months later. It is now over six months later and I’m still having to wear a temporary tooth. It breaks about once a week and I have to go back for a replacement.I have been in the dentist more than I care to discuss just getting a temporary tooth repaired or replaced. How long should it usually take from start to finish to get an implant. HOW MANY MONTHS? I feel my dentist is doing something wrong and it shouldn’t have taken this long for me to get mine done. Thank you
A. I normally wait 3 months before making the final tooth. perhaps you should ask your dentist to organise this now as it is over 6 months already
