I had braces when I was 16 and had them off at 18

Q. Hello! I had braces when I was 16 and had them off at 18. I am now 20 and my teeth have moved slightly and the no longer are as perfect as they were which is very depressing since I went through countless appointments and discomfort to get them that way! Is there a way that this can be solved without drastic cost or prolonged discomfort? Thank you

A. Minor corrections could be acheived with Invisalign or Inman Aligner techniques. These are often a really good way of sorting out relapsed orthodontics without recourse to another fixed appliance. You will need to hold the teeth in the new position to avoid a repeat of the relapse.

i had braces from 14 to 16 years old as i had an underbite. i was initially told i would need oral surgery on my upper jaw however the orthodontist attempted to fix my teeth with braces. the braces made my bite perfect and my teeth straight so i did not need surgery. however i am now 22 and have a slight open bite(0.5mm) at the front between my upper and lower teeth. is it possible to get this corrected throught braces?
