I had an accident and my teeth are no longer straight and they are chipped. What treatment would be best?

Q. Hi doc! At 14 I had regular braces since my teeth were sticking out. At 22 I was involved in a tragic accident and since, many teeth chipped and the teeth are not in a straight line anymore..been 8 years now and now I see how different they are. Im confused on what I would need done? Composite filling? braces again? please advise,
A. Dear Enquirer, I am so sorry to hear that your teeth have chipped and moved out of alignment since your accident. It must be so disappointing! In order to bring your teeth back into the correct alignment you have the option of wearing braces again. Once your teeth have been aligned you may wish to address your concerns about your chipped teeth through either composite bonding or porcelain veneers/crowns. Alternatively, we may be able to use porcelain veneers/crowns to improve both the alignment of your teeth and the aesthetics of your smile. Porcelain veneers are sometimes referred to as “instant orthodontics” as the procedure can be completed in a matter of weeks. If you are unsure of what porcelain veneers are then further information is available on this website and before and after photographs can be seen on http://www.cosmeticdentistryguide.co.uk/experts/dr-sunita-verma.html.
