i had a swolen face and blurrred vision after my gums were numbed

Q. I had to have two fillings in the hand side of my jaw. After having the injections to numb the area, my vision was distorted (seeing double). My face looked as if i had a stroke, and was considerably swollen. I have never experienced this before, is this normal reaction to having gums numbed for fillings. Afterwards i could not see properly for about 2.5 hrs.

A. hi many thank for your enquiry, this can happen in around two percent of cases. it is not common but rest assured it could happen to anyone and dont worry there are no long lasting effects.
