I HAD A ROUTINE X RAY DONE FOUR DAYS AGO IN SWITZERLAND

Q. DR, MY QUESTION IS THE FOLLOWING. I HAD A ROUTINE X RAY DONE FOUR DAYS AGO IN SWITZERLAND,AND IT SEEMS I HAVE AN INFECTION ON MY UPPER LEFT MOLLAR. DOCTOR SUGGESTS TAKING THE TOOTH OUT AND HAVING A BRIGGE VERSUS IMPLANT. HE SAYS THE ROOT OF MY MOLAR IS TO CLOSE TO THE SINUS, AND THAT A BRIDGE IS A MUCH LESS INVASIVE TREATMENT AND CAN LOOK PERFECT. HE THINKS IMPLANTS ARE ABUSED AND NOT ALWAYS THE BEST SOLUTION. WHAT IS YOUR JUDGMENT, DR? THANKING YOU VERY MUCH IN ADVANCE

A.

Sorry for the delay during my annual leave

I have advised patients for and against an implant solution in cases similar to this. The final treatment carried out depended on subtle clinical information gained from the clinical assesment and the Xray analysis. In my opinion no single treatment solves all problems and it depends on what your needs and preference is as well.
