Q. Hi there i had root canal monday. the next day and wed i didn’t feel any thing but thurs and today the surrounding area feels sore is this normal. i think the root canal has worked because the tooth its self no longer hurts but like underneath the tooth(if that makes sense) and surrounding area feels sore . i am terrified of getting an absese by the way . kind regds
A. Bruising can peak 4-5 days after a root canal, if it continues to get worse after this you should return to your dentist as further treatment may be needed.
