Q. A couple of weeks ago i had a bridge and crown fitted my dentist connected it my far back tooth and back of my front tooth. The problem now is when i have anything cold i get pain and it feels like its on the very back tooth. my dentist did say if i needed a root canal filling i’d part of it taken off which is going to cost me all over again. So i wondered if there is anything else that i could have instead of a root canal filling? Thank you
A. If the nerve is dead or dying you would need either root canal or the tooth taken out.
If the new bridge is ” high” in the bite, reducing the hieght can help.
There are other possibilities but you need a clinical assesment.
