i get food stuck under my bridge when i eat
Q. I have a bridge and food get under it everytime I eat. This causes pressure on the other teeth and sometimes I can not stand it. My dentist says there is nothing that can be done about it. It this true?
A.
Bridges ae designed to sit on the gum where the lost teeth are being replaced. Daily cleaning underneath the bridge should reduce or prevent the irritation to the adjacent teeth. If this does not help please contact your dentist to discuss the matter further.
