I Feel That I Am Too Old To Wear Fixed Braces. Is There An Alternative?

Hello Dr Moore. My two front teeth are twisted and spaced. As I lived in West Africa, it was very difficult to find a very good dentist. I have tried on several occasions but to no avail. As my front teeth are twisted, I cannot smile for long because I feel too embarrassed to expose them. Please help and advise me. One of the dentists that I visited said it cannot be rectified without braces because the structure of the teeth in my gum. Yet, I feel am too old to wear braces for Two years. Hello and thank you for contacting me. He’s probably right. However, you should know that many brace systems are practically invisible these days. Many people elderly people use these braces – guilt-free. Have a look at the informative pages on this website and acquaint yourself with the various orthodontic systems.
