Q. I do not have an NHS dentist and am desperate to have my teeth fixed. I am a single mother of 4 children so I am obviously unable to afford treatment. My top teeth are very crooked and a couple of them are quite protruding. My bottom teeth are also very crooked and the gumline has receded quite a lot on a few teeth. Is there any way I could get treatment on the NHS without having to wait for years?
A. If you are needing treatment, It might be advisable to go to your local dental hospital to see what they can do for you. Alternatively, find your nearest NHS dentist to see what you can do. If you are on benefits, you need to look into seeing if you are entitled to discounted or free dental treatment on the NHS. Private dentistry can be costly, but most practices have a payment plan/scheme to help. Hope all goes well.
