I do have considerable bone losss. I would like to get my teeth veneered for that perfect smile.

Q. I am a 28 year old male who’s teeth appear quite good and straight. I have a history of gum disese in my family and althought I have all my teeth (ex wisdom teeth) I do have considerable bone losss, esp at the back. I regularly visit a periodontist for deep below the gumline cleaning. I would like to get my teeth veneered for that perfect smile. I have only 1 non-porcelin filling. Am I a candidate for this procedure?

A.

The restorative part of creating the perfect smile is not a problem, the long term stability will be determined by the gum disease. If you are prepared to accept this then in most cases you are a candidate for veneering,
