I Didn’t Think My Teeth Would Move Back After I Had My Retainer In For So Long. How Can I Straighten My Front Teeth?

Q.
Hello Dr Hughes. I need two teeth straightening, the front left tooth and one next to. One has moved back and the other has moved forward and is starting to overlap the other front tooth. I have previously had braces, and I lost my retainer. I didn’t think they would move back because of how long I had the retainer in for. The one tooth seems to be moving back even more so I wanting it sorted out as soon as possible. I don’t want to spend a great deal but I would like it sorted as it’s affecting my self confidence?
Many thanks.

Hi. You may be a candidate for an Inman aligner or some other type of short term orthodontic treatment. Costs will vary of course but will start from about £2000.  Many orthodontists and cosmetic dentists offer complimentary consultations these days, so it might be worthwhile searching your local area for an experienced orthodontist who can help you. If you’d like to know more about the different types of braces you can find this information through this website. Kind regards, Mark.
