I currently have a temporary bridge

Q. I currently have a temporary bridge (top front 4 teeth) and my dentist is recommending implants for the final bridge. With 2 implants and a 4 tooth bridge I’m looking at a bill of around £6k! I also don’t want to go through the implant surgery being a nervous patient! Would it be possible to fit a 4 tooth bridge on mini-implants as this would make the bill at least manageable and the treatment less traumatic?

A. Hard to tell without a clinical examination & assesing how your teeth meet. In most cases I would be nervous about long term stability on mini implants, they have their uses but this maybe a little too hopeful. A £6K bill is normal for good quality implants that maintain bone stability etc.

For Anxious patients I would consider intravenous sedation for the implant surgery if you are in good general health.
