Q. I am over 65 years of age can I apply for a certificate of excemption for dentistry work?
A. Age itself doesn’t mean exemption from charges. You need to talk to your NHS dental practice to see if you can claim the fees for treatment

My dentist doesn’t feel confident about dealing with a tooth problem I have. But the Eastman dental hospital has returned his referral saying they haven’t enough clinic capacity to do the work. My dentist says there is no other NHS facility for doing this work & I should go privately. But it will probably involve an operation and will be very expensive. Not sure what to do now.
I have returned from my dentist and have to pay £45:00 for a regular clean up. On the 28/06/2013 I became 65
