I am not allowed fixed dentures, been recommended weighted dentures, what are these?
Q.
As i went through the menopause at 30yrs old i am mow having problems with my bone density( now 50yrs old ) . I have a partial denture but lossing more of my natural teeth so due to the fact that i cannot use fixative a full set of fixed dentures was suggested .After xrays i have been told i have lost too much bone in my upper teeth for this to work . Weighted dentures have now been mentioned but i dont understand what this will mean . I am really starting to worry . I look terrible and my eating habits are limited and getting worse . I would really like any advice you can give me .

I would recomend a 2nd opinion from a Implant specialist and recomend a CT scan this is an in depth x-ray which measures your bone precisely.
