I am experiencing throbbing pains in my bottom molar, why is this?

Q.
I had 3 fleeting throbbing pain in my bottom molar that lasted about 15 seconds. I happened twice yesterday and once today. I went to see my dentist who x-rayed and said he sees nothing. I’m going on vacation soon and do not want to think about it. What could be the problem? I’m 29 yrs. old and take good care of my teeth. Thanks!!!

Unfortunately without seeing your x-ray or your teeth we are unable to tell you exactly what is wrong with your tooth.

However, there are a number of reasons for teeth to have throbbing pain. The nerve inside teeth can get aggravated and cause throbbing pain, or teeth can get cracks in them creating pain when biting on. If the pain continues please go back to your dentist.
