I am at risk of gum disease and my gums don’t stop bleeding, what should I do?

Q.
i have always had sensitive gums and my grandmother had gingivtus at a young age which resulted in have all her teeth out, is there anything i can do to stop myself getting this as i fear i already have, my gums have always bleed for as long as i can remember and i have tried mouthwashes and everything, however i have found a thin grey line on one of my canine teeth on my lower set at the very base just going under the gum, what is my next step?

You should seek advice from a periodontist (gum specialist) as if you’re at risk of gum disease it needs treating as early as possible

Hi Dr.
My husband’s gums bleed any time he sucks at his teeth.
And when brushing. He is stubborn and doesn’t see a dentist.
And this has been happening for years.
Please help

Thanks
