I am 43 years old and I have lost 3 teeth

Q. I am 43 years old and I have lost 3 teeth and have one crown. Although most of these are near the back I hate smiling just in case people notice. I don’t have alot of confidence in my current dentist who gives no real feedback on my teeth. I have considered implants but the cost is an issue. What can I do?
